Asha Brown, LCSW-C
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Tarot Reader, & Healer
A little bit about me…
My name is Asha and I’m a mental health clinician, healer, and intuitive tarot reader born and raised in the Midwest but currently living on the Southeast Coast of the United States.
How I’ve gotten to where I am is a long story but I began working in the mental health field as a behavioral technician back in 2016. In 2017, I went on to earn my Masters in Social Work with a mental health concentration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I’ve been able to work with people of various ages groups, genders, and backgrounds to help them find stability in my roles as therapist. But as my mother would likely tell you, my desire to help and support others has been a core value of mine since I was a child.
Spirituality and spiritualism seem to have found me along the journey. I spent a lot of time in church when I was a kid and while I come from a religious background, time and self-exploration allowed me a chance to redefine my relationship to the concepts of faith, religion, and God/Spirit. In 2019, I was gifted my first tarot deck and I became an invested student in all things tarot, astrology, and metaphysical. I was amazed by the accuracy of the messages I received when pulling cards for myself and others.
In June of 2020 after the murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor, I organized a fundraiser where I was able to collect donations to be donated to local Black led initiatives to help those protesting. I gave free tarot readings to Black and Brown folks as an offering and it showed me how powerful and healing these sessions can be. Since then, I’ve completed over 100+ readings for folks throughout the United States and internationally.
My personal mission is to empower others with the tools, knowledge, and wisdom that I have gathered over the years that has allowed me to build and live a more intentional and authentic life. Life is hard enough right now- it’s my hope that we learn don’t have to do it alone.
